I confess I have not finished reading this book, but what I have read so far (about 1/2) is very interesting and informative. I have the Spanish version, so I cannot comment on an English version, if there's one. The book give readers a solid history that explains how and why organized criminals achieved such a predominant place in Tamaulipas politics. I have found that the story is similar in other Mexican states, that is, every Mexican state has been similarly infiltrated by drug trafficking organizations. This book does a good job of explaining how the Mexican government and drug lords have become, more than anything, partners in crime rather than adversaries. Very good book, so far. If the rest of the book is as good as what I have read so far, I would not hesitate to award it 5 stars.

Y porque es una realidad lo que estamos viviendo y cuando salimos a la calle corremos el riesgo de no regresar.
